The police curfew that was lifted for 16 districts of the country this morning will be re-imposed at 2:00 pm, and not at 12 noon as announced earlier, the President’s Media Division said.
The curfew which will be re-imposed at 2 pm in these districts will be lifted at 6 am on March 30 and will be re-imposed at 2 pm on the same day.
Meanwhile, the curfew imposed in the Puttalam, Mannar, Killinochchi, Mullaitivu, Jaffna, and Vavuniya districts will be lifted at 6 am tomorrow before being reimposed at 2 pm.
The curfew in these districts will once again be lifted at 6 am on March 30 before being reenacted at 2 pm on the same day.
However, the curfew imposed in the Colombo, Kalutara, and Gampaha districts will continue to be in effect until further notice.
The President’s Media Division noted that arrangements would be made to supply essential food items to the public without any disruptions.
