The Department of Meteorology says that there may be rain from time to time in Easte , Uva, Southe , Sabaragamuwa, Central, North Central and North Weste provinces.
The department states that scattered rain or thundershowers may occur in the rest of the island during the evening or night.
Some places in Easte and Uva provinces and Polonnaruwa and Hambantota districts received Heavy rains of over 100mm.
The Department of Meteorology announces that some places in the rest of the region will receive About 75mm heavy rain.
