The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be several rainy seasons in the North, East and North-Central provinces.
The announcement also states that there will be rain or thundershowers in the rest of the island in the evening or at night.
Some places in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts may experience heavy rains of more than 75 mm.
