The Department of Examinations will set up 40 special examination centres for students exposed to COVID-19 to sit for the 2020 GCE Ordinary Level Examination, the Examination Department said.
According to the Examinations Department, 50,000 officers will be directed to those centres.
A request was submitted to the Director-General of Health Services to obtain the COVID-19 jab for teachers assigned for the special examination centres, Sanath Pujitha, the Commissioner-General of Examinations told media.
The 2020 GCE Ordinary Level Examination will commence on the 1st of March 2021 and will be held until 10th March 2021
A total of 622,352 candidates are scheduled to sit for the O/L exam, which will be held at 4513 examination centres located island-wide.
