India’s National Security Adviser Ajith Doval meets the President

India’s National Security Adviser Ajith Doval, called on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat on Saturday evening (28).

The President and the Indian Defense Adviser engaged in a highly productive discussion aimed at further enhancing bilateral relations of all kinds.

Indo-Lanka Defense Cooperation, Maintaining Peace and Security in the Indian Ocean Region, Infrastructure Development in Sri Lanka were among the major topics discussed.

The two sides agreed that the infrastructure development projects initiated with the participation of India should be completed expeditiously.

Ajith Doval expressed India’s willingness to identify and invest in new areas that will contribute to the economic development of Sri Lanka.

The President and the Indian Defense Adviser stressed the need to further strengthen the already very satisfactory level of bilateral cooperation.
