April Attacks PCoI sessions postponed due to COVID-19

Sessions of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing the 2019 April 21st Attacks were postponed to the 31st of October taking into consideration the growing concerns over COVID-19.

Secretary to the Commission Buwaneka Herath speaking to media the members of the PCoI would meet on the 31st of October to further discuss the recording of evidence.

All witnesses who were scheduled to provide evidence in the coming days, have been informed of the PCoI decision, he said.

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing the 2019 April 21st Attacks was appointed on the 20th of September 2019 and its mandate was extended to the 20th of December 2020.
