A total of 1,662 individuals have been arrested over various offences and charges including those with pending warrants, during a special police operation during the last 24 hours within the Western Province.
Police said that the arrested suspects include 748 apprehended over drug offences, 696 persons arrested over pending warrants against them and another 91 arrested over other criminal charges.
