100kg of heroin & 100kg of ICE was seized by the excise department in a raid in the Thoduwawa area in Marawila.
”The narcotic substances amounts more than Rs.01 Billion in street value,” Deputy Commissioner of the Excise Department Kapila Kumarasinghe said.
04 suspects have been arrested in connection to the drug racket.
”It is reported the street value of a kilo of ICE range between 3 to 4 Million Rupees and a kilo of heroin sells at 5 to 6 Million Rupees,” Deputy Commissioner added.
