Sri Lanka recorded one death due to COVID-19 on Friday, raising the death toll due to the virus in the country up to 130.
The deceased has been identified as a 72-year old resident of Piliyandala.
He had passed away on Friday while receiving treatment at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases.
The cause of death has been identified as acute bacterial infection and heart failure caused due to pneumonia, a complication due to the virus.
