Despite the COVID-19 pandemic in Sri Lanka, the Attorney General concluded action in 9688 Criminal Cases & presented 4019 indictments to the High Courts this year.
State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne, the Coordinating Officer to the Attorney General speaking to media said 3012 suspects were released from cases and legal advice was given with respect to 2499 cases filed with Magistrate Courts.
