213 new COVID-19 cases were reported at 1845 hours on Friday (06), said the Department of Government Information.
All cases reported are close contacts of the Peliyagoda Cluster.
Accordingly, the total number of cases reported from the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda clusters rose to 9305.
The total number of confirmed cases in Sri Lanka rose to 12,783 with 7186 recoveries and 5568 patients receiving treatment in hospitals, reported the Epidemiology Unit.
The COVID-19 death toll in Sri Lanka stands at 29.
