The Ceylon Electricity Board and Lanka Electricity Company (Private) Limited were advised to issue electricity bills of all consumers for the months of March and April, separately.
Minister Mahinda Amaraweera had urged officials to immediately rectify the error made to issue electricity bills for the month of March and April together for certain areas.
The Ministry of Power and Energy said a period of 30 days would be given for consumers to settle payments for those months.
