Issuing a release, the Sri Lanka Postal Services Union said that the Postal Officials are not happy about the pay cut for the month of April.
The Postal Officials point out that they too had during these trying times to provide essential services.
The release further notes that a day’s salary of the Postal Officials for the month of April was taken from them in contribution to the COVID-19 Fund.
They urge that the money that was cut from their salary, due to ad hoc decisions taken by the Post Master General, should be given back to them.
