A number of religious programs in several parts of the island were organized to invoke blessings on former Minister, Patali Champika Ranawaka who is currently in remand custody.
A Bodhi Pooja was held at the Pitihuma Sri Purana Pattini Temple in Kegalle under the patronage of the Chief Incumbent of the Malwatta Kanda Temple in Kegalle, Venerable Udahenthenne Shakya Thero to invoke blessings on Patali Champika Ranawaka.
Another Bodhi Pooja was held at the Wallapola Siri Sudaththarama Temple in Ragama under the patronage of the Chief Incumbent of the temple, Venerable Horewela Dhammika Thero.
Meanwhile, another Bodhi Pooja was held at the Siri Dhamminda Temple in Depanama, Pannipitiya under the patronage of the Chief Incumbent of the temple Venerable Kebillewela Nandaloka Thero.
