Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi is set to arrive in the island today (December 12) on a two-day visit. His visit is set to see Japan formally extend their congratulations to the new Government while also looking to continue their friendly relations with the country.
He is due to meet President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and Foreign Minister Dinesh Gunawardena during the course of his visit.
