Commercial flights from Jaffna to Chennai and Trichy starts today.
An Indian private carrier has announced that it will begin its flight from Chennai at 10.35 am and reach Jaffna at 12 noon. The airline added, that the same flight will depart from Jaffna at 12.45 pm and arrive at the Chennai International Airport by 2.10 pm.
Director of the Civil Aviation Authority, H.M.C. Nimalasiri noted that the Indian carrier operated a test flight last Friday, from the Jaffna International Airport to Chennai.
