The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) has filed case at the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court against three officials of Laugfs Gas PLC, a company listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
The charges listed against the individuals include market manipulation, conspiracy to commit market manipulation and for aiding and abetting such offences, with respect to the shares of Laugfs Gas PLC.
The 3 defendants named by the SEC are the Chairman of Laugfs Gas PLC W.K.H. Wegapitiya, the Managing Director of Laugfs Gas PLC U.K. Thilak N. de Silva and investment advisor attached to a Stockbroker firm Thakshila I. Hulangamuwa.
