Notorious drug kingpin and underworld ring leader Mohommad Najim Mohommad Imran alias Kanjipani Imran has been further remanded till the 15th of this month.
The order was issued when he was presented before Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayarathne today (November 1).
He was arrested under charges of threatening a police inspector over the phone to release his accomplice who was arrested with a haul of drugs. The Chief Magistrate further ordered the government analyst to submit a report on the voice sample obtained regarding the telephone conversation.
