The showery condition is expected to enhance to some extent over most parts of the island, particularly Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Uva and North-western provinces today.
Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island particularly after 1.00 p.m.
Showers will occur in Southern province during the morning too.
Heavy falls above 100 mm can be expected at some places in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Southern provinces.
Fairly heavy falls about 75 mm can be expected at some places elsewhere.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and North-central provinces during the morning.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
