A group of rogues who robbed 09 houses in Kurunegala during the past two months were arrested yesterday (October 8). The four suspects were arrested while in possession of Rs. 2 million worth gold, a motorcycle and mobile phone.
The suspects were produced before the Kurunegala Magistrate’s Court yesterday and are being detained at the Kurunegala Police Station.
The suspects are residents of Polpithigama and Pothuhera. Kurunegala police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
