The Presidential Commission has commenced investigations into alleged Rs 65mn fraud at the Petroleum Corporation.
The scam concerns an alleged effort by a group to hack into the SAP IT system through which they attempted to null invoices in violation of the due process.
The complaint, which concerns the corporation’s head office in Dematagoda, was lodged against an Assistant Sales Manager.
The complaint adds that an officer attached to the offices of the Uva and Southern provinces were brought to the head office without consent in order to seek assistance in the fraud.
