The Ceylon Teachers’ Service Union alleges that the question papers of the Grade 5 scholarship exam contained questions that were not related to the syllabus of the students. Secretary of the Union Mahinda Jayasinghe noted that the students were greatly inconvenienced at the exam due to this reason.
They requested the Commissioner General of Examinations to immediately look into this matter. Commissioner General of Examination Sanath B. Pujith noted that Board of Inquiry had discussed the relevant issue and that no injustice will be done to the students who sat for the examination.
