A special dengue eradication program will be implemented today (August 15) and tomorrow (August 16) in the Gampaha district. During the first 7 months of the year, 36,858 dengue cases have been reported.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health states that the highest number of patients were reported in July when the numbers spiked to 8407. In the past 14 days, 2079 patients have been admitted.
