The University Trade Union Joint Committee has engaged in a strike due to several demands.
The chairperson of the committee Dhammika Priyantha has stated that they have 11 demands including, resolving of salary anomalies, the increment of MCA allowance, implementation of an open examination when recruiting employees for the universities, update of the loan scales.
