Former CJ to provide a statement on Mahapola irregularities

The Presidential Commission probing Fraud and Corruption at State Institutions over the past 04 years is to record a statement from Former Chief Justice K. Sripavan over alleged irregularities at the Mahapola Scholarship Trust Fund.

The Presidential Commission said an ASP attached to the Police Unit will visit the Wellawatte residence of the Former Chief Justice to record a statement over a complaint citing, land owned by the Mahapola Scholarship Trust Fund was leased to the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology in Malabe.

The Commission said the statement will be recorded as the Former CJ was the Chair of the Mahapola Scholarship Fund during the period in question.
