Beliatta Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Siril Munasinghe has been arrested today over an assault of a former PS member, police said.
They said the Chairman was arrested after he surrendered to the Beliatta Police station this morning.
The suspect was wanted in connection with the assault incident which took place at the Beliatta Pradeshiya Sabha on July 18.
The PS Chairman would be produced in the Tangalle Magistrate’s Court today.
