Father and his two sons were arrested for keeping 290 electric detonators in a house in Hedigama in Piliyandala last evening, the Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.
He said the electric detonators were found during a search operation carried out by the Sri Lanka Army and the Police following a tip-off.
During the raid, one person who brought the electric detonators to the house was also arrested. Piliyandala Police are conducting further investigations.
