Police have decided to detain and interrogate three terror suspects arrested for maintaining close ties with Mohamed Zahran and are currently held by the Terrorist Investigations Division.
The men from Rasnayakapura, Welimada and Peradeniya are believed to have undergone training with Mohamed Zahran at Nuwara Eliya, Hambantota and Aruppola areas.
In addition, another 36 terror suspects are held by the TID.
Police added that among them are two Moulavis and a female suspect.
