Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Several spells of showers will occur in North-western province and in Hambantota district.
Fairly heavy falls above 75mm can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces.
Fairly strong gusty winds up to 40-50 kmph are likely over the island particularly in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-western and North-central provinces and in Trincomalee and Monaragala districts.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
