The Railway Department states that the transportation of goods on trains that was temporarily suspended due to the 04/21attack will recommence from tomorrow (June 01).
Superintendent of Railways Dilantha Fernando said that the process of packing goods to be transported will be carried out by the respective station master. He further urged the public to arrive at the station one hour before the departure of the train to get the necessary activities completed on time. The loss incurred by the department due to the temporary suspension of parcel transportation is reported as Rs. 15 million.
