Senior Advisor for Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation Eric Miller said that Sri Lanka’s location advantage is necessary, but not sufficient condition for becoming a maritime and logistics hub in the region. He said that Sri Lanka needs to put necessary building blocks to leverage on emerging opportunities, particularly to implement the Multi Country Consolidation, (MCC) model, supported by the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation to give Sri Lanka the new edge as a trade and logistics hub in the region.

He made these sentiments speaking at the launch of the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation Project held in Colombo.
