Commanding Officer of French naval ship ‘Surcouf’ meets on Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy

Commander Christine Ribbe, the Commanding Officer of French naval ship ‘Surcouf’ which arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday (18th June), called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Naval Headquarters. During this cordial meeting they shared a couple of views on matters of professional interest and exchanged mementoes to signify this occasion.

Late this afternoon Vice Admiral Ranasinghe took time off to make an inspection visit onboard the French naval vessel ‘Surcouf’. The occasion was also attended by the Ambassador of France to Sri Lanka, H.E. Mr. Jean-Marin Schuh, Deputy Chief of Staff and Director General Operations of the Navy, Rear Admiral Piyal De Silva, Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne and Director Naval Operations, Commodore Sanjeewa Dias.
